When creating a company in today’s business setting, it is easy to put most of your time and energy into your online presence. Not at all saying that things like your website and social media pages aren’t important, because they are extremely important in not only cultivating new business ventures and partners, but just having a strong online presence too is a great way to show people that you are a company worth trusting.
What we are saying is take a step back from worrying about your online appearance for a second and think about your physical store. We understand that a majority of your business transactions may happen completely online, but in the off chance that a potential customer strolls into your store one day looking to create a partnership, you want to be sure that your lobby leaves the perfect first impression.
Picture this: You are in search of a company that will create new signage for your business. You have done some research into which signage company would be the best for you and are on the way to meet them. When you arrive at the store and walk in the door, you are surprised to find that you are now standing in an uninviting lobby space that seems to be stuck in the last century.
Now ask yourself, would you continue to wait there before you were greeted by someone or would you simply turn around and walk out the door? Assuming that your answer would be to walk out the door, think about if someone were to do that when they entered your business.
Here are a few tips to spruce up your lobby to make sure you’re always leaving the perfect first impression:
- Atmosphere – Your lobby is the first thing that people will see about your business, so make sure that its theme is parallel with the company’s. Once you have figured out how you want to portray your business to the public, it is easier to create a theme that is unique to you.
- Lighting – Lighting in your lobby is more than making sure it’s well lit. You can switch out your existing lighting for new fixtures to give the space a quick and cost-friendly, updated feel and you can even utilize them to spotlight things your guests may need to find like directional signs or the reception desk.
- Furniture – No one likes to go somewhere and be forced to stand. If there is any chance that your guests will need to wait for a brief period of time in your lobby, make sure they have somewhere to sit. This could even be a great opportunity to add a much-needed pop of color to brighten up the room.
- Signage – Last but not least, signage. If you want to grab your guests’ attention right when they walk through the door, be sure to include a large company sign that is unique just for you. And for that, we’ve got you covered.
