The river is not a boundary for us. Moline projects run the same way our Iowa ones do: we design the sign, we handle production, and our own crew installs it, with no subcontractor in the middle. We’ve been doing sign work for Quad Cities businesses on both sides of the river since 2012. Arthur Murray Dance Studios, YouthHope, Smith Filter Corporation and Parr are all Illinois-side work, and East Moline has become one of our busiest corridors.

Lobby and Storefront Signs for Moline Businesses

The first sign a customer reads is your storefront. The second is whatever greets them inside the door.

A lobby or reception sign does more for how a business is perceived than almost anything else you can hang on a wall, and it costs less than most people assume. Dimensional letters in brushed aluminum or acrylic, standoff-mounted so they throw a shadow. Printed or cut vinyl direct to the wall. Push-through acrylic on a painted backer. Illuminated faces where the lobby is dark. Smith Filter Corporation’s entryway sign is ours, and so is a Moline lobby sign for CVM.

Outside, the same logic runs in reverse: the sign has to be readable from a moving car, legible at the distance people actually make the turn, and still correct at night. Channel letters, cabinet signs, awning signs and window graphics all do that job differently depending on your building and your setback. The Parr logo sign on their Moline building is ours, and so is the sign face on Arthur Murray Dance Studios.

Both halves come through the same company, which is the only reliable way to make the sign on the building and the sign in the lobby look like they belong to the same company.

Common uses: office and agency lobbies, reception and entry walls, storefront identification, awning signs, multi-tenant directories.

Fleet Wraps and Vehicle Graphics in Moline

A wrapped vehicle is advertising that works while it is parked. We design, print, and install full and partial wraps and vehicle lettering, and we keep a fleet looking consistent as trucks get added, replaced, or repaired. The YouthHope vans are a good example: two matching Transits, wrapped so they read as one organization from across a parking lot.

Common uses: service and contractor fleets, nonprofit and shuttle vans, delivery vehicles, box trucks, trailers, single owner-operator vehicles.

Wrap Maintenance and Refresh

Vinyl does not last forever. Sun, road salt and pressure washing all take their turn, and a wrap that looked sharp in year one starts to fade, lift at the edges, or crack across a panel by year five or six. A faded fleet is worse advertising than no wrap at all, because it says something about how the company maintains its equipment.

We handle the whole life of a wrap, not just the install:

  • Panel replacement. One damaged door or quarter panel replaced and color-matched, rather than re-wrapping the whole vehicle.
  • Refresh. Updating a phone number, a web address, or a logo after a rebrand, across every vehicle.
  • Full re-wrap. When the vinyl is past saving, stripping it and starting clean.
  • Adding to a fleet. Matching a new truck to vehicles wrapped years earlier, which is harder than it sounds once a material has been discontinued.

Common uses: contractor and service fleets, nonprofit and shuttle vans, delivery vehicles, box trucks, vehicles coming off lease.

Illinois-Side Projects, Iowa-Side Shop

Moline permitting runs through the City of Moline rather than through an Iowa municipality, and what you are allowed to install depends on your parcel’s zoning, which is why two businesses a block apart can end up with very different signs. That is worth sorting out before a design is finalized, not after the sign is built.

Common uses: a first permanent sign on a new location, replacing a sign that predates the current code, a project where the landlord and the city both have to sign off.

Common Questions From Moline Businesses

How do I find a sign company in Moline that can make a custom lobby sign?

Look for one company that handles design, production and installation, because a lobby sign is a finish-level detail and every handoff is a chance for it to come out wrong. We make dimensional letters, brushed metal, acrylic standoff, push-through and printed vinyl lobby signs, and install them ourselves. Smith Filter Corporation’s entryway sign is Moline work.

Do you provide maintenance for vehicle wraps, or only new installs?

Both. We replace damaged panels, refresh a phone number or logo across a fleet, re-wrap vehicles whose vinyl has faded or started to lift, and match new vehicles to ones wrapped years earlier. A fleet that has been on the road a few years usually needs some of each.

Do you work in Moline, or only on the Iowa side?

Both, regularly. Moline is part of our standard service area and our own crews handle the installation rather than a subcontractor. Our shop is at 1320 W. Kimberly Rd in Davenport, a short drive across the bridge.

What should a Moline business know about sign permits?

Permitting runs through the City of Moline. What you are allowed to install depends on your parcel’s zoning, which sets size, height, placement and illumination, so it is worth sorting out before a design is finalized rather than after the sign is fabricated.

What kinds of signs do you make for Moline storefronts?

Channel letters, cabinet signs, awning signs, window and door graphics, post and panel signs, and full vehicle wraps for the vehicles parked out front. The Parr sign on their Moline building is ours. Most storefronts end up with a combination rather than one sign.
